With Zika virus getting all the attention, everyone is thinking about mosquitoes, but we need not forget the importance of preventing tick bites and tick-borne disease. The new CDC resource below is excellent for preventive approaches for the important tick-borne zoonotic diseases in the state and for great pictures of the ticks. I also have attached a flier on tick-bite prevention that the Public Health Committee sent out last year.
