SIX JOIN LIST OF MEDIA TRAINED VETS

The list of media trained ALVMA member veterinarians continues to grow.  On August 19, 2007 the following individuals attended the third annual media training seminar hosted by the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association: Drs. Christie Wallace of Birmingham; Cindy Grant of Birmingham; Edith Moyana of Birmingham; Rachel Nelson of Moody, T.C. Branch of Birmingham and Brad Fields of Montgomery.  The seminar was coordinated by Drs. Kirk Holland and Libby Todd. 

The training was led by Dr. Jim Humprhies, president and news director of Veterinary News Network. Those in attendance were involved in active role playing in how to deal with the media under both normal and crisis situations. 

As a result of this last session, the ALVMA now has thirty-six member veterinarians who have been media trained.  Plans are underway for another session to be held in 2008. Other media trained veterinarians include:
