E-Veterinarian News
We are less than one month away from reaching our goal of
pre-selling 1,000 Spay/Neuter license plates (Tag #88) in an effort to
assist low-income pet owners. The number of applicants reported by the
Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles reached 742 through the month of
August. We do not know how well we did in September nor how well things
are going in October. We MUST NOT leave the remaining time to
chance! If our efforts fail in this regard, we will have lost a great
opportunity to help bring the crisis of unwanted pets under control. If every member of the
Association would participate in this effort, we would more than surpass
our goal. You can also consider offering to reimburse your staff if any of
them would like to participate. A number of our members have opted to do
this and it has been well received by staff members.
