Notes from the President 

The past executive board meeting was held October 19^th, at the Bass Pro Shops in Prattville.  The meeting accomplished a lot but it was primarily noted for its longevity.  There was much discussion and agreement among the members to that fact but the location was a hit.  Bass Pro Shops is noted for its manly shopping venue and its food, but it also sports (pun intended) a large meeting room in a location about as convenient as possible statewide for most members.  We shall meet there again for the next executive board meeting on February 22, 2009. Spay/Neuter License Plate Pre-Sale Deadline Ends

The year long effort of reaching 1,000 pre-commitment sales for the Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation’s spay/neuter tag ended on October 31^st. While official word from the State of Alabama will not be forthcoming until sometime around December 10^th, things appear promising that the goal may have been met.(To Read More)

Watch your mailbox for the arrival of the 2008-2009 Alabama VMA Membership Directory, a vital tool for networking with your fellow veterinarians. The directory is provided free of charge as a benefit of being a member of the Association.
