Spay/Neuter License Plate Program Underway




The executive office of the Alabama VMA sent out acceptance letters April 13th, 2009 to clinics/hospitals that have signed up to participate in the spay/neuter license plate program. As of the date of this E-News, nearly 100 clinics/hospitals have requested approval to participate in the program, and $13,280.00 has been granted to meet the requests to perform surgeries. Any hospital/clinic in Alabama can request approval on the stipulation that every veterinarian involved in the clinic must be a member of the Alabama VMA.

Spring Edition of the Alabama Veterinarian
Coming Soon

Be on the lookout for the spring edition of the Alabama Veterinarian which should be arriving in your mailbox by the middle of the month. This thirty six page edition is packed full of information including a complete rundown of the upcoming annual convention. You will also find proposed changes to the Association’s Constitution and Bylaws. Read them carefully. A vote on the proposed Bylaws changes will take place during the annual business meeting on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 at 12 noon. Changes being proposed to the Constitution will be voted on during the 2010 Winter Business Meeting.
