101st Annual Convention Held

The 101st Annual Convention of the Alabama VMA was held June 26-29
at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in

New Association Officers Installed at Annual Convention

Newly elected Alabama VMA officers were installed by AVMA Executive Board Chair Dr. Larry Corry. The new officers include Drs. Michael E. Newman of Decatur-President; Larry L. Chasteen of Pell City-President Elect; Libby C. Todd of Birmingham-Vice President; H. Winston Pirtle, Sr. of Montgomery-Treasurer; William K. Holland of Dothan-Sr. Board Member-at-Large; William M. Allen-Gardendale-Jr. Board Member-at-Large. All positions were elected to serve for one year.

Half-Way Mark Reached in Sale of Spay/Neuter License Plates


A July 7th report from the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles shows
that  the Alabama VMA has reached a little more than the half-way point in
its effort to pre-sell 1,000 spay/neuter license plates.  This report includes sales through May 2008.  The deadline for reaching the 1,000 goal is October 30, 2008.
