After nearly two years of working with the state legislature and a year of solicitation
to the general public, the Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation, in conjunction
with the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, was able to meet the requirement
of 1,000 pre-sold spay/neuter plates by the October 31st, 2008 deadline.

2009 ALVMA Animal Hall of Fame Call for Nominations

Do you know an animal worthy of nomination into the 2009 AL.V.M.A.
Animal Hall of Fame? If so, please contact Dr. Jan Strother as soon as possible so
that we may get this special animal into the nomination process! The cut off date for nominations is December 15^th, 2008. The 2009 Animal Hall of Fame will be held in Birmingham, at the Wynfrey Hotel on February 28^th, in the evening. (To Read More)

ALVMA Membership Dues Notices Sent - Updates Needed

All members of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association should have received
a 2009 dues notice which was mailed last week. If you have not received yours,
please contact the Association office at 334-395-0086. The postal service has
returned several dues notices indicating either insufficient or wrong address
information.

You are encouraged to go to the ALVMA website (www.alvma.com) and check your personal profile to make sure everything is correct. If you have moved or changed
your e-mail address or phone number please make the correction on your profile.
The Association office will automatically be notified that a change has been made.
This will insure that you do not miss important notices or other ALVMA news sent through the postal service or by electronic communications.

Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
